The surroundings were absolutely stunning, situated between a river and ruins. It felt like a private country estate, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The location was convenient, being close to amenities and within easy reach of Newcastle and Durham. The friendly staff and well-equipped kitchen were an added bonus.

The Wi-Fi could be patchy at times due to the thick walls in parts of the building. Although it worked, it may not be ideal for those who rely heavily on a strong connection.

The place is like a freakin' castle and the staff were total legends, always there when we needed anything. We had a blast exploring the ruins of the Abbey and chilling by the river Wear. And the best part? We were just a short drive away from both Durham and the beach in Newcastle. It was the perfect combo of chill and adventure!

If I had to ask for one thing more, it would totally be an epic party area. Like, a sick outdoor space with music, lights, and a pumping sound system.
